Holy bajeezers it is hot out. For the last week + we've been ina heat wave. I love the sun but I think a little coolness would be alright too. It just has to wait until my sweet little nieces birthday is done. (Park bday party) She is going to be 7 on Sat.... Sun is her party. It will be a fun day @ the park.
To beat the heat we've been playinh with water balloons. What a sight. Alyssa could pop a million and she'd still have the same surprised look. I'd still LMAO the same every time. Jaiden discovered that the water goes much further if you KICK the balloon. LOL. Yay!
Nothing else is really going on here. Winding down and then countin down till grade THREE!!!

This better be the only time my boy in a squad car!!!
Today was Jai's school fair. He had a lot of fun playing games, winning prizes and seeing friends BUT one thing that kept him occupied was a squad car. he and his friends played and played, in and out (Even Aly), pretending to "catch" and lock in eachother. (child locks...) This pic was a funny one because it looks like he is begging one of his best buds to bail his lil azz out. LOL!!!
Proud mommy moment:
After my "polite" daughter ran for the hills away from the police woman when asked if she'd like a sticker, the kids in the back (Jai + 3) yelp for some stickers too... "me too" "I want one" "Can I have one" and last but not least there was a "may I please have a sticker too?" The police woman was shocked and announced that was the 1st "please" she had heard all day!!! I asked which one said it and she point and said" the little gentleman on the end..." JAIDEN!!! I commended him for using awesome manners and then the cop invited him to the front to turn on the lights/siren. Jai's reply... NOPE..that's ok..thanks anyways! LMAO!!! Most kids would love this but I think it intimidated him a bit. :P He preferred to be a "bad guy".
Anyhow...like I said, this better be the only time!!!!
:side note, he is getting SO big!

Can you see what's missing????
look near the arrow....
see it???
NOPE, that's because it is GONE! Yep, Lil Miss lost one of her earrings. I didn't even notice until she was outside playing and a mommy/baby duo strolled on by. The mommy stopped to say hi" (How could she not, Alyssa was screaming BABY, BABY!!!" The mommy said something about "Oh, such a pretty little girl, she's only wearing 1 earring though?" I looked and and was shocked to see it was gone! We were waiting for a friend so there was no time to search. I ran in (She was playing w/Jaiden in the front yard) grabber he "special" earrings and put them in temp until we could get some more. These were bought for her 1st bday from her paternal g'parents, definitely not everyday wear. (2 bills + = not realistic for everyday!) Anyhow, daddy searched his butt off and found a pair, brought them home and THEY DIDN'T FIT!! The peg was too big. Eventually Daddy and Alyssa had some hang out time together @ the mall. (mommy was in bed, WAY under the weather and Jai was in school) When they came home BOTH were in great moods, daddy 'cause he bought his baby girl some BEAUTIFUL little studs and Aly because she adored her bling. LOL They look so sweet! Very similar to her normal ones but diff backings and a bit more $$. Now we're in search of mushroom backings....anyone? One that lock would be great!
For the second time, yes SECOND, Alyssa got a hold of a marker and decorated herself along with our TV!!! At least this time it wasn't permanent marker. (Last time it was, and CRAZY to get off btw.) This time she was once again proud of her work. What a job she did. Unlike last time I took pics! This was early AM and I was out of the room only minutes - enough to get cereal in a bowl.
My proud lil' artist.

The first 2 weeks of January now are weeks where I try to keep myself upbeat and busy. Why? Well.....
On January 10, 2004 my dad was in a car accident. He unfortunately died on impact. I had only just gotten to know him on a more personal level. He was in and out of my life from age 12 - adulthood due to his lifestyle. It wasn't necessarily a bad one, just one opposite of the one I was growing up accustomed to. After a few years of searching, on NYE '00 I got a phone call from him. (My mom tracked him down ;) ) It was so bittersweet. Over numerous phone calls we got all caught up and eventually I went there to visit. Over the next few years we stayed in touch through phonecalls, emails and visits. When he died I couldn't help but wonder why..... why did this have to happen when things were going so smooth? Did he know I love him? Was he happy to be a grandfather? So many questions, but like always, in a situaiton likethis all your left to do is wonder.
January 10 marks the anniversary of his death....5years already.
On January 5, 2008 my oldest brother passed away. Him passing crushed me beyond comprehension. I really thought things with him were going in a new direction. He seemed happy, and it looked like he was movign the wheels in a fwd motion. He was so excited to have a new niece. Alyssa was only 3 month old when he died. Seh enver met him. Not because he was mean, was mad, or even because of anything I said or did. Because he wasn't feeling well (had other health issues as well)and really didn't want to get my baby or me sick. I totally commend him for that. I know he really wanted to meet her. It hurts my heart to think of how I felt when I had to tell Jaiden that he had passed. Jaiden LOVED his uncle Johnny so much. I will never forge tthe look in his eyes.....ever.
On January 5th 2008, my brother died of an overdose. With his passing I feel a bit of guilt. I am not sure where it fits in. I honestly did the best I could to get him to change his ways but you know what they say....they need to WANT to change. That really is true.
There is so much more to that story... I just don't feel like getting further into it...ya know? Maybe one day.
So that my friends is why I try to keep myself busy and occupied. :) If not my spiral may spin........
A bit ago I found am email in my inbox, it was from a company i was familiar with and really liked. Anyhow... there was an option to enter a contest. At first I ignored the email and continued on with my net travels. A few days later I decide "WTH, might as well enter. The worst that could happen is a little extra SPAM. " So... off I went to enter. I had to visit a couple of sites and answer soem basic questiton. I completed the entry and left it @ that.
Fast fwd, a month or so later I got this email saying I WON!!!!! I never win anything....seriously - it is very rare. LOL I won some sweet leather shoes (For Alyssa since their sizes only went to .5 smaller of a size than Jaiden wears.), a leather bib, Some hairclips, a headband and a soother clip!! So many cool prizes. I was so excited. Today the bib and shoes arrived. They are from 3 different companies, all are awesome!
I'll post a few pics when I get a chance.
